HuffingtonPost.com has compiled a slideshow of some of the most embarrassing photos from recent family vacations. According to the site, “it all starts with the best of intentions. Mom and Dad, feeling that the family needs to spend more time together, decide that we should take a vacation… but between the itineraries, the sunburns, and the sing-alongs, the only thing relaxing about a family vacation is when they finally make it home.”

Start-Up Camera—Shoot First, Focus Later

With an innovative camera due out later this year from a company called Lytro, OneModelPlace.comphotographers will have one less excuse for having missed that perfect shot. According to Steve Lohr from NYTimes.com, the company’s technology allows a picture’s focus to be adjusted after it is taken. While viewing a picture taken with a Lytro camera on a computer screen, you can, for example, click to bring people in the foreground into sharp relief, or switch the focus to the mountains behind them.

Tips on Shooting Stock Photography

It used to be that you had to have a portfolio with tens of thousands of images, usually in slide form, all catalogued, with model releases in a collection that you would use to be selected to shoot for one of the big stock agencies. You would be accepted as a stock photographer with the requirement to shoot hundreds of images a month to submit to the agency to help keep their collection complete.

Today, the internet has changed the world of stock photography. There are hundreds of web based micro-stock companies that have sprung up that have allowed even amateur photographers to be accepted as stock photographers if there work is good enough. You can even get started with only a handful of images.

Joanna Aims for Career as Playboy Model

Illinois talent Joanna has wanted to model for as long as she can remember. She finally got a chance to step in front of the camera at age 16, and has enjoyed working in the modeling field ever since.

When she was still a teenager, she worked with OneModelPlace.com photographers to build her portfolio. “I discovered OMP from an acquaintance I met through friends. Since joining the site, I have met some wonderful photographers who I’ve shot with and guided me.”

One she became of age, Joanna set her sights on a new career goal. “A few months ago, I went to the local Playboy casting here in Chicago. It was an adrenaline rush, because I’ve wanted to try out for a long time. I just had fun with it and hoped for the best.”

Her best was obviously more than good enough, because she was chosen to come back and shoot for Playboy’s online Coed of the Week feature. “I was selected as Coed of the Week the same day I tried out for Playboy. They asked me to come back and shoot again two days after the casting.”

This week, there’s more happenings around the globe and one of this is the famous Elizabeth Taylor. Models, Fashion Designers, Photographers so with OneModelPlace.com and the likes all over the world send their condolences to the late icon. As alligator.org posted the world lost one of its legendary fashion icons. Dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away Wednesday. The icon was famous for many things, including: her multiple movies, her striking beauty and her bold fashion choices. Whether you loved it or hated it, Taylor’s unique and fearless sense of fashion has been talked about and emulated for decades.

From caftans to plunging necklines, Elizabeth Taylor transformed several trends such as these—and more—into timeless looks. While famous for these classic looks, Taylor is better known for her elaborate headpieces and hair styles, as well as her costume-like ensembles.

Been away for month, but thank you all for checking this site and all the visits. OneModelPlace.com updates us with more Hot Models and two new are here from February and March Hot Model stories.

Brynn has modeled for over six years, and got her start in the business right here on OneModelPlace.com. She has been very successful ever since.

“I discovered OMP from a peer of mine that had just found the website as well. She knew that I was looking to get into modeling and thought it would be a great networking tool. Boy, was she right! It’s been six years now and I can’t believe how far it has taken me. OMP has given me the ability to reach photographers outside of my area. I am a full-time traveling model and it puts me right where they are. This site made it possible to quit a retail day job to live my passion, being a working model!”

Bailey Devonish has modeled since the age of 17. She started pursuing the career full-time three years later, and has found success as a working and traveling model ever since.

Her interest in modeling grew out of an early desire to be a photographer. “I would ask my friends to pose for me, but they were always so self-conscious and insecure, which will ruin everything. So when they started getting into photography as well, they would ask me to pose for them, and it just all came very naturally to me. Then I started posing for professional photographers such as Brad Miller of Natural Beauty Photography while being mentored by fellow model Melissa Trout.

She discovered most of her colleagues and collaborators right here on OneModelPlace.com. “I found OMP through a photographer friend, and then I realized that everyone seemed to get there work from there! The website has made it really easy to network with many others in the business.”

New Hot MODEL of OneModelPlace

Finally a new Hot Model from OneModelPlace.com is here again, meet Tara who been modeling for a short while but has already been getting the attention of the industry. Like many models, she started by posing for a friend and ended up pursuing it for a career.

One major step for her has been creating a portfolio on OneModelPlace.com. Since she first discovered the website online, this Florida resident has collaborated with several OMP photographers and is gearing up to work with many more.

She describes herself as being “very hard-working and creative. I’m not afraid to try new things. And I am super-friendly. I like to make my photographers laugh.”

Ukrainian Model Success Story

Oksana (OMP Model #138456) first joined OneModelPlace.com in 2004 and has become a successful international model since then.

Joining OMP also motivated her to start her own modeling agency in Ukraine, called PhotoTours-Ukraine (www.phototours-ukraine.com)

Now Oksana organizes photography workshops and trips for those photographers who would like to photograph beautiful Ukrainian and Russian models. She runs a modeling agency in Kiev with a database over 300 models and manages to still model herself.

“I love my business so much – it is something that I know very well, and it is something that inspires others to create beautiful images of beautiful women. I try to always invent some interesting environment for photographers to work in: we have water glamour shoots, creative workshops, ski shoot in the mountains, etc. We try to make it a trip of a lifetime, and a lot of photographers travel to Ukraine and attend our events regularly.”
